"FATHER CHRISTMAS" BY RAPHAEL TUCK AND SONS

A charming shape book titled, "Father Christmas" published  by  Raphael Tuck and Sons. Not copyrighted but dates to the early 1900's. There is a piece missing at the lower right corner of the cover. The pages are intact. There are wonderful, color lithograph prints and black and white illustrations. Some discoloration to the edges of pages due to age and handling, but overall in great shape. A fantastic, softcover shape book titled, "Merry Christmas", published by Charles E. Graham, Newark, NJ and New York. No copyright date but circa early 1900's. The front and back covers are wonderful, with Santa on a scooter delivering his bag full of toys. The pages are clean without  writing or scribbles. All is intact. There are numerous black and white illustrations detailed with soft shades of orange. There is some very  minor wear at the stapled spine and a slight bend at the lower right hand corner. "MERRY CHRISTMAS ABC", BY MCLOUGHLIN BROS.

A great, softcover children's Christmas book titled, "Merry Christmas ABC", published by McLoughlin Bros. New York and copyrighted 1900. The colorful cover depicts Santa sitting on his fireside settle bench checking his list. The interior pages are clean without writing or scribbles and all is intact. There are super illustrations in black and white detailed with shades of red. There is a pencil inscription on the inside front cover that reads, "Dear Hilda from Mamma (spl) 1910". There are some creases on the front cover and wear on the spine. Overall, this rare Christmas alphabet book is in excellent condition. Additional photos are attached by the link to the right.

A great, softcover children's Christmas book titled, "Jolly St. Nick", published by McLoughlin Bros. New York and copyrighted 1911. There are five full page color lithographed prints including the cover. The pages have some yellowing and foxing due to age and handling, but otherwise in very good condition. The stapled spine has some chipping but all is intact. A fine collectible book. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

A wonderful hardcover children's Christmas book titled, "A Christmas Token", published by Cupples and Leon Co., New York. No copyright date but is early 1900's. It contains various poems with Christmas themes and numerous prints of angels, birds, holly and berries. It has a stitched spine and there is minor chipping on the outside of the spine. Pages are clean and bright. There is some discoloration, and a small faint stain on the right hand side of the cover from age and handling. Overall, in excellent condition. WONDERFUL VICTORIAN SCRAPBOOK WITH FOUR SANTAS

A fantastic Victorian scrapbook with four Santas in relief on the cover. The book is filled with pages of Victorian trade cards, advertising, place cards, etc. of every subject you can think of. Also wonderful images of animals, flowers, birds and people. The back cover is embossed, PAT. MARCH 1876. The pages are fragile and brittle from age. The spine has a split at  the top and is detached from a portion of the pages. The book is completely full. A great piece! Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

A wonderful shaped booklet titled, "Christmas Stocking", published by Peter Paul & Bro., Buffalo, N.Y. and copyrighted 1880. It is filled with a variety of Christmas poems. A charming hardcover children's Christmas book titled, "A Visit From St. Nicholas", published by S. Hildesheimer and Co. Limited, London and Manchester. It is beautifully illustrated by E.F. Manning. There is no copyright date but is circa 1880's. The book was designed in England and printed in Germany. There are eight color lithograph prints and sepia toned illustrations. The spine is stitched and loose from the pages but it is still attached and secure. The edges of the pages show minor wear and the lower corner of the back cover is missing. The corners are rounded. A shaped softcover children's Christmas book titled, "Christmas", that has "The Night Before Christmas" poem inside. Six color prints and black and white illustrations are inside. This book was probably a Christmas give-a-away by L Wertheimer, Inc., 619 West 181st Street. It has a stapled spine and all the pages are intact. There are edge creases and some lower right corner pages have bends. There is a pencil inscription on the front cover, "Henry" on the lower left corner. There is no copyright date or publisher mentioned. Overall, a charming book. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

A wonderful very early booklet titled, "The Visit Of St. Nicholas" published by Henry J. Drane, London and E.P. Dutton & Co. New York. Designed in England and printed in Germany. There are sepia toned illustrations on every page with very early depictions of Santa. It has a stitched spine.
