A wonderful Nanking Chinese export oval porcelain platter with the inclined pines pattern with trellis-diaper and spearhead border. There is a 1" long rough spot on the right rim which is an "in the making" kiln flaw and which is completely glazed. There is a 1/4" ding under the building on the right. There are a few tiny (in the making) brown spots on the surface, the largest of which is by the fisherman. There are several dings on the rim edge, two of which are larger than a pin head. There are a few dings on the surface, none of which is larger than a pin head. All in all, this platter is in good condition for its age. It has a great shade of blue.
