THE PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN DECORATED CHEST by MONROE H FABIAN

A superb hardbound reference book titled, "The Pennsylvania German Decorated Chest" by Monroe H. Fabian, with a foreward by Pastor Frederick S. Weiser. This is a first edition published in 1978, Universe Books, New York. This is volume number 12 of  The Pennsylvania German Society. There are 230 pages with 31 pages in color. Except for one small chip to the upper left corner of the dust jacket, it is in excellent condition. It is covered in a mylar sleeve. Additional photos are attached by the link to the right.

Great hardbound reference book titled, "The History & Folklore of American Country Tinware, 1700-1900" by Margaret Coffin. Published by Galahad Books, New York, NY, copyrighted 1968. This book is in excellent condition except for a 1/8" chip at the front top of the dust jacket and a 1/4" tear at the bottom. The dust jacket is covered with mylar. SAMPLERS OF THE PENNSYLVANIA GERMANS by TANDY AND CHARLES HERSH

An excellent hardbound reference book titled, "Samplers of the Pennsylvania Germans", by Tandy and Charles Hersh. This is a first edition, no other edition known. Publication number twenty-five, of the Pennsylvania German Society (the centennial volume 1891-1991). This book is in its original shrink wrapping. There is no dust jacket. A  2"x 2 1/4" piece of wrapping is missing at the front lower right corner as well as a 1/2 x 1/2" on the back upper corner. Pictures of samplers that are attached by the link to the right are from another copy of this book.

AMERICAN FURNITURE, THE FEDERAL PERIOD 1788-1825 by CHARLES F. MONTGOMERY

This wonderful hardbound reference book titled, " American Furniture, The Federal Period 1788-1825" by Charles F. Montgomery is a first edition published 1966 by Viking Press, New York. An examination of the Winterthur Museum collection with a foreward by Henry Francis DuPont. The book itself, is in fine condition but the dust jacket has a 3/4" x 1" piece missing on the back. It also has some tears on the edges that are touched up with archival tape. Also, there are chips to the edges of the dust jacket. There are 497 pages, with some in color. Additional photos are attached by the link to the right. This book weighs six pounds.

FURNITURE TREASURY by WALLACE NUTTING, COPYRIGHT 1954

A hardbound edition of "Furniture Treasury" by Wallace Nutting, published by The Macmillan Company, NY., copyright 1954. This is a copy of the original 1928 edition. Two volumes in one. Unabridged and unpaginated. Great reference book that features all periods of early american furniture with some foreign examples. There are five thousand black and white plates with descriptions. Includes clocks, hardware and household utensils. This has been the traditional "Bible of Americana".

Very good condition with bumping to the corners and fraying to the bottom of the spine. No names or writing. Missing its dust jacket. Additional photos are attached by the link to the right. Weighs over seven pounds.

A first edition hardbound book titled, "American Painted Furniture 1660-1880" published by E.P. Dutton & Co., NY, copyrighted 1972. There are 299 pages including the indexes. Forewards by Nina Fletcher Little and Jean Lipman.

Profusely illustrated photos, many in color. In very good condition except for some light shelf wear. The jacket has a 3/4" taped tear on the back cover and 1/2" taped tear at the top of the spine.
