A hand woven splint utility basket with original red paint. It is woven with either ash or hickory and has a bentwood fixed handle of oak that is notched to the rim. There are a few broken splints and there is a place with some missing splint, the longest one measuring 2 1/8". There is appropriate wear to the paint. The form is quite beautiful with an oval top, rectangular base and bulbous center. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.
