A charming semi-hardcover children's Christmas book "The Night Before Christmas" published by Raphael Tuck and Sons Co., from the Father Tuck's Nursery Tales Series. All the pages are intact at the stapled spine. There are sepia toned illustrations, two of which have some neatly done pencil coloring. Also, filled with great full color lithograph prints. The pages have some darkening and discoloration from handling and age. The lower right corner has a bend but it is secure. The backside has a stenciled inscription and is dated Dec. 25, 1921. A well loved and handled edition of "The Night Before Christmas" published by the Stecher Litho Co., Rochester, N.Y. and copyrighted 1917. Beautifully illustrated by Margaret Evans Price. This softcover, shape book does have condition issues with an old taped spine, bends, creases and small tears. The bottom right hand corner is missing and some pages show some discoloration. A great small hardcover children's Christmas book titled,"All About The Night Before Christmas", published by Cupples and Leon Company, New York and copyrighted 1918. It has an applied circular litho print on the cover. There are forty-seven pages with eight full page color lithograph prints and black and white illustrations. There is some discoloration to some pages and minor wear to the spine and corners. On the interior front page, which is blank, it appears to have had some old glue residue. There is an inscription on the inside cover that dates Dec. 25, 1931, but the book is earlier than that. Every page is a full page color lithograph illustrated by Frances Brundage. There is some discoloration from age and handling. The front and back covers have some creases and the corners have wear. The prints are bold and bright. Overall, in great shape.
