David Pool Antiques

A wonderful book for any Christmas collectors library. It is "The Santa Claus Book" by E. Willis Jones. Published by the Walker Publishing Company and copyrighted 1976. This is a first edition. It is a pictorial biography of Santa Claus and contains a variety of full color prints, black and white illustrations and poems. Illustrators such as Thomas Nast, Norman Rockwell and others are included in this book. The condition shows a little shelf wear, light yellowing of the dust jacket cover and one little pen mark on the bottom right hand corner. The inside pages are very clean and look virtually untouched without any marks or scribbles. Additional photos are attached by the link to the right.

A rare, hardcover, first edition of "Christbaumschmuck" by Eva Stille. Written in German and copyrighted in 1979. It is in excellent, very clean, unused condition. There are wonderful color photographs of early antique Christmas ornaments as well as black and white photos. This is a very informative, great reference book for anyone interested in collecting vintage, antique ornaments. This is a very difficult book to find.
