A wonderful blue and white hand decorated spongeware salt box. The wooden lid is probably not original but is about 100 years old. The knob has a 3/8" chip. There are two 1/4" chips on the right side of the base. There is a tight 3 1/2" hairline on the left side that goes throgh. There is a 1/8" shallow chip on the back of the hanger. When looking straight at the box, the only flaw that one sees is the knob chip. A difficult to find piece. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.
