BEAUTIFUL BOSTON BAKED BEANS COVERED POT

A fantastic, early stoneware Boston baked bean pot with its original lid. Made by Whites Pottery, Utica, NY. The molded relief form on both sides is amazing. Except for a tiny glaze flake in the letter "B" on the word "Bunker", it is in excellent condition. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

GREAT EARTHENWARE OVOID JUG

This is a beautiful, early earthenware ovoid jug with black slip glaze. There are chips or glaze flakes on one side of the jug. There is also a small chip on the lip. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

GREAT LARGE STONEWARE MUG

The granddaddy of salt glazed stoneware mugs. A magnificent 19th century American mug with two cobalt blue band decorations. There are several pinhead sized kiln flaws, original in the making. The top is slightly ovoid in shape. No cracks or chips. An asset to any collection. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

STONEWARE FOOT WARMER

LARGE STONEWARE SALT GLAZED TANKARD WITH PEWTER LID

A beautiful Westerwald stoneware tankard with cobalt blue and incised decoration. A large size with a pewter lid. There are a few chips to the top rim, one of which is 1/2" and primarily on the inside. None show when the lid is down. There is a shallow 1" chip on the base at the edge. There are the usual kiln flaws and pops, indentations and lines and one area of skipped cobalt. Great design and form. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

SMALL STONEWARE SALT GLAZED TANKARD WITH PEWTER LID 1

A small Westerwald stoneware tankard with cobalt blue and incised decoration. It has an incised pewter lid. There are no chips or cracks, just a couple of glaze pops. There is a little roughness on the top rim (may  or may not be from wear). It has a particularly beautiful incised decoration which is quite pronounced. Great early piece. SMALL STONEWARE SALT GLAZED TANKARD WITH PEWTER LID 2

A small Westerwald stoneware tankard with cobalt blue and incise decoration. There is a downward indentation to the pewter lid so that the thumbhold leans forward. There is some added metal to reinforce the underside of the spout, 1/2" x 1". There are two 1/4" chips on the bottom. There are some areas of skipped glazing and two areas of brown discoloration (in the making). Great design. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

STONEWARE SALT BOX

This is a blue and white stoneware salt box. Nice decoration on the front and both sides. There is one 2" very fine hairline crack and one that is 3 3/4". There is a 1/2" x 1/4" chip at the front base mostly on the bottom. Missing its lid. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

LARGE F.B. NORTON AND SONS STONEWARE CROCK WITH COBALT BLUE DECORATION

A cobalt blue decorated four gallon crock by F.B. Norton and Sons of Worcester, Massachusetts. There is a 5/8" chip on the inside of the rim. There are several chips on the inside of 1/4" or less. There is a 3/4" chip on the bottom. There are bubble pops in the decoration which occurred in the firing. The crock is large enough to hold magazines.
