This is a candle sconce that mounted on the wall of railroad cars. It is stamped Adams & Westlake Co. Chicago and the word Adlake is in the center of the cartouche. It is also stamped with the patent date of Sept 10, 1907. The candle height adjusts automatically because it is spring loaded. The original chimney is marked "MACBETH PEARL GLASS", MADE IN U.S.A. The lamp appears to be made of copper which has been painted gold. The maple stand is new and made to display the lamp. This is an interesting item that can be used when the electricity goes out!
